Unfortunately the website name of dandaragan.com has had a rather interesting journey and for a small town in a large name sake shire, deserves better.

Let me tell you a short story so far of the history of dandaragan.com

The domain name was originally taken up and displayed through a progress association in Dandaragan March 05 2002, check the original site here, dandaragan community web page

After feb 2005 the site was rather naughty as it was accidentally not renewed and a porn site took the name up and no we wont give you the link for that.

Anyway as my own local business The Redgum Village needed promotion through the web and after a few embarrassing calls from clients discovered dandaragan wasn't actually as it seems on the web.
I researched the new owner of dandaragan.com and hounded him with phone calls, e-mails from different computers, lots of e-mails from so called concerned residents of dandaragan and the harm it was causing the local school children and other businesses.
Eventually he must have saw reason even though he never replied or acknowledged any wrong doing he did let the domain name lapse and as I personally had dandaragan.com on back order we managed to claim it as soon as it expired.

To cut a long story short the original owners of the site dandaragan.com will be creating a tourism only site renamed

dandaragantourism.com which will be up and running in due course.

dandaragan.com will be a community friendly site relevant to Dandaragan and the surrounding districts with a emphasis on promoting anything and everything Dandaragan.

So if you are a dandaraganite, feel free to get in contact and we will get dandaragan.com up and running this year.
